Today, Wednesday, November 1st, we got our firs major snowfall.

Aaack!  Is this the end of the 2017 riding season?

The eternal optimist in me hopes not.  In past years there have been various occasions I’ve ridden right up to November 24th, my Dad’s birthday.

Officially, winter doesn’t ‘start’ until Thursday, December 21st, which is winter solstice, the day in which we receive the fewest hours of sunlight in the day.

I’ve intentionally left the fuel tank of my RT unfilled, and I have intentionally NOT put in fuel stabilizer.  If all goes according to plan, there will still be a few days riding in November, and I’ll attend to those ‘winterizing’ tasks at that time.

Meanwhile, my friend Bill and his brother Bob arrived yesterday with a pickup truck and trailer, and removed the old upper and lower cupboards that ran along the long sided of the garage.  The previous owners had put them in, and they weren’t to my taste in style or function.

With the cupboards removed, I have more room for our two cars AND the RT.  It’s a slightly tight fit, but this will be the first winter we’ve had both cars and the bike indoors and in one location.

We are making garage ‘development’ in significant, but small steps.
