We’ve had our 2018 Audi A4 for some 4 months now.  With 4,450 km on the odometer since acquiring the car in October, the Audi’s 2.0-litre DOHC turbocharged 252 horsepower 4-cylinder engine mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission continues to impress.

The fuel economy for a turbocharged 4-cylinder fulltime all-wheel-drive sport sedan is remarkable.

Overall fuel consumption*:  8.6 l/100 km (32.8 Imp mpg/27.4 U.S. mpg)

Best fuel mileage (Highway) :  6.1 l/100 km (46.3 Imp mpg/38.6 U.S. mpg)

Worst fuel mileage (City):  9.6 l/100 km (29.4 Imp mpg/24.5 U.S. mpg)

Total distance driven:  4,450 km

Total fuel consumed (Esso premium unleaded):  388.5l

Total fuel cost for 4,450 km:  $487.13 Cdn

Cost $/100 km:  $10.94 Cdn

*Notes:

Data shown is for the vehicle equipped with Dunlop winter tires, mostly city (est. 90-percent) driving, and in winter driving conditions (typically -10 to -20 degrees Celsius.)
