Hi Tim. I also meant to inform you of Ian. This is what I passed on to our many mutual friends. Pat’s email is ismi@shaw.ca
Take care, Tim
It’s with great sorrow that I found out today from Ian’s wife, Pat, that our old friend Ian passed away.
Ian was diagnosed with lung cancer which he seemed to be controlling successfully with chemo and was actually able to go about daily routines, including his last motorcycle ride in September as well as numerous ebike rides.
Regrettably, shortly after then it was discovered that the cancer had metastasized to his brain. Ian passed away peacefully at their Ladysmith home on November 19th, with Pat and their two sons at his side.
Given the restrictions of the pandemic, Pat advises that no funeral services are presently being planned.
Is this the Tim Yip who shares my birth day of April 24th and shared a friendship with Ian Smith?
Hi, Rollie. Yes. I thought of you when I heard of Ian’s passing, but had no means to contact you.
Tim

Thanks, Rollie. I spoke to Pat after receiving her note.
